Here I am presenting the websites I have built recently. Most of these I have built for fun purposes and they are a hobby rather than for work, and thus are rather simple with limited scope. My design process therefore is fairly straightforward. I enjoy developing sites for the joy of figuring out how it works. Most of them are built in Hugo, but I have done some in React and Vue. Please enjoy!

HacKRNspace Website and Promotional MaterialHacKRNspace Website

HacKRNspace is a small non-profit organisation of which I am a board member. To quote the hackrnspace: "Hackrnspace is an association with the purpose of improving knowledge about technologies (such as computers, the internet, cybersecurity, etc) and giving the public the ability to use and interact with modern technology". For HacKRNspace I have made a website and several peices of promotional materials, including posters, flyers and stickers.

This is a flyer set I made to explain what HacKRNspace is when we are presenting ourselves to the public, it is an a5 doublesided flyer. It is bright, happy and eyecatching. The idea is that we are welcoming and fun rather than the serious idea you would expect from a computer based group. I also chose a superhero type theme as we are a bunch of nerds, and therefore would appeal to other nerds.

This poster set was for an event that we hosted where we were introducing the public to Linux as an alternative to windows 10 as it was being depreciated. The blank space is so we can write the date in when we have multiple events. The two themes are designed to attract multiple types of people. The colourful one is designed to attract younger groups of people - especially women whereas the blue is designed to pull in older people or those who are more used to the colours of windows.

Carlotta Coenen's WebsiteCarlotta Coenen's Website

Carlotta is a 25 year old trained car painter. She is searching for jobs in southern Sweden in her field. To create a website for Carlotta I had to consider her target audience. We can assume that it is a male dominated field and would attract an audience of people who are interested in vintage cars and the 1950's asthetic, which Carlotta herself is interested in. So this is the theme I chose for the website. And I also made the assumption that a lot of the business owners would be between 40 and 65 years old, so I opted for a nostalgic 90s feel to the website. I kept the design fairly simple. It is built in Hugo using markdown files as the basis for content. There is no installed theme, the style is pure CSS. Carlotta was very pleased with the result.

Emelie Sandströms WebsiteEmelie's Website

Emelie is applying for jobs within the public sector as a museum curator and preserver of artefacts. She is deeply passionate about history and handicraft. Her website reflects her personality as someone who is interested in the fibre arts with original artwork by her. It is light and slightly playful showcasing her interest in storytelling through art. Her target audience is public sector employees and museum directors, and it is designed to reflect her personality as someone who is passionate about arts and history.
